Membership as a public actor

The B4B+ Club, launched in 2018, is an international network of over 45 companies, financial institutions, and consulting firms, brought together around the topic of biodiversity footprint measurement.

Club members meet regularly throughout the year as part of working groups composed of various stakeholders (consultants, financial institutions, and companies).

The Club has also launched dedicated working groups on specific themes, including biodiversity credits and sector-specific issues (energy utilities in 2023–2024, food and agriculture in 2025). To broaden the Club's perspective, enrich discussions, and highlight international members' viewpoints, the Club also offers a Biodiversity Footprinting working group.

Club membership includes access to one of the following working groups of your choice: local authorities, Biodiversity Footprinting, AND access to the sectoral working group, whose focus changes regularly.

Membership in the Biodiversity Credits working group requires an additional fee of €1,500 (excl. VAT) per year.

Upon registration, you may select which working groups you wish to include or exclude from your membership.

Here is a list of the Working Groups and their objectives:

• The Food & Agriculture sectoral working group focuses on challenges specific to the agri-food sector, especially the assessment of the impacts of different agricultural practices.

• The Biodiversity Credits working group explores the emerging field of biodiversity credits, including its ecosystem of actors, associated methodologies, technical and conceptual questions, and how it can be integrated into a broader biodiversity strategy.

• The B4B+ Club plenary session brings together decision-makers to discuss cross-cutting and strategic topics. The plenary session is included in all memberships, regardless of the working group(s) selected.

The objectives of the B4B+ Club are as follows:

• Understand how biodiversity footprint assessment tools can inform corporate decision-making, investment decisions, and external reporting.

• Anticipate financial, regulatory, and market developments related to biodiversity footprint reduction.

• Ensure that the GBS (Global Biodiversity Score) is adapted to corporate constraints and needs, and support its implementation through case studies.

• Support the execution of biodiversity footprint assessments by providing technical assistance.

• Keep companies informed about biodiversity footprint assessment through contributions from external experts and regular literature monitoring.

As part of their commitment, each Member is individually required to pay a fixed annual contribution as set out in the price list below (amounts in Euros excluding VAT; the VAT rate applicable is that in force at the time the service is invoiced).
For any membership after 30 June, the amount of the contribution for the current year is set at 50% of the amount in Euros excluding VAT (half membership).
